Ingredients
- 1 cup honey
- 10 - 12 pounds turkey
- 4 tablespoons peanut oil
- 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1 teaspoon sage, ground
- - salt & pepper, to taste
How To Make honey basted roast turkey

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Remove turkey's giblet packet. Rinse turkey & pat dry.

Step 3Rub turkey inside & out with peanut oil.

Step 4Combine spices & rub on outside of turkey.

Step 5Bake turkey in roasting pan covered with foil. Allow 18 - 20 minutes per pound. Cook until juices run clear with no hint of pink when pierced.

Step 6During last hour of roasting, brush the honey on the turkey at 20 minute intervals. When baking is complete let rest for 7 - 10 minutes.
