    ground turkey
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1 large
    green pepper, finely chopped
  • 2
    serrano chiles
  • 1
    garlic clove, minced
  • 1 can(s)
    refried beans
  • 1 can(s)
    chiles, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    picante sauce
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 dash(es)
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 c
    monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 8
    tortillas, flour

How to Make Ground Turkey Burritos


  1. Brown the turkey with onion, peppers and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer about 10 minutes.
  3. Let cool a bit so the mixture is a little firmer.
  4. Warm the tortillas in the microwave or individually in a frying pan to soften.
  5. Put a big spoonful in the center of each tortilla, top with some cheese, and wrap, folding the ends within.
  6. Optional additions:black beans, corn, more chiles, rice, whatever you like.
