grilled turkey, fig and cheese sandwich

This is another great recipe from earthnvine.com. When, I saw this recipe I just had to try it. I love turkey sandwiches and this was so delicious with the fig orange jam that they sell. My husband really loved it too. Let me know what you think.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices thick sliced sourdough bread or any bread of your choice
  • 3-4 slices generous slices of cooked turkey breast
  • 2 slices mahon cheese (our grocery store didn't have this type, so i used a white sharp cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons earth & vine provisions fig orange jam
  • 1 small amount of argula leaves
  • 3-4 slices onion
  • 1 - 2 teaspoons olive oil

How To Make grilled turkey, fig and cheese sandwich

  • Step 1
    Heat skillet with a little olive oil and grill onion slices until browned and tender.
  • Step 2
    Layer one side of bread with sliced cheese, layer with turkey, arugula, and grilled onions.
  • Step 3
    Spread other side of bread with Fig Orange Jam. Brush outside of bread slices with olive oil and grill in a pre-heated skillet until golden brown and crusty starting with chees side down.
