OK - I know it sounds a bit weird, but once you try it, it tastes surprisingly good. Even better? It's a slow-cooker dish - Oh, how I love those "set -n- forget" recipes. Serve this one with nothing more than a loaf of sourdough bread or a pan of cornbread.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey or beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cumin
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon each, salt & pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 20 ounces canned tomato or 8-vegetable juice
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1-2 large bay leaves
- 20-24 ounces french-style green beans, frozen
How To Make green bean chili

Step 1In a large skillet, cook ground meat until almost done. Add in onions and garlic and cook for 3 minutes.

Step 2Dump cooked mixture into slow-cooker liner. Add seasonings/spices, sugar, tomato juice, tomatoes, bay leaves and green beans.

Step 3Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or on HIGH 4-5 hours.

Step 4When done, ladle into bowls and top with your favorite toppings: shredded cheese, diced onion, jalapenos, crushed tortilla chips, sour cream
