Very healthy version of dirty rice and my family's favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground turkey sausage
  • 2 medium
    green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 medium
    onions, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 box
    wild rice, cooked
  • 1 1/2 c
    long grain rice, cooked
  • 1 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tsp
    creole seasoning (tony chaceries), plus more to taste

How to Make Dirty Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown turkey meat with creole seasoning and drain. Sautee bell peppers and onions for 5 min; add garlic and continue until transulcent.
  2. Cook Rice according to package direction.
    Combine the cooked rice, meat and vegetables. Bake in casserole dish for 30 minutes.
