This recipe notes it is SPICY, in caps, so I am sure it must be...I got it out of Barb's recipe box, and she says she thinks it came from her friends Dick & Jan (who she also notes love to cook together).

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 large
    onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped garlic
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 2
    28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    19 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 16 oz
    canned corn, drained
  • 2 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    corriander
  • 1 large
    green pepper, slivered

How to Make Corn Chili for a Crowd, Barb

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in heavy bottomed 5 qt pot. Add onion, saute over high heat 2-3 min. Add garlic and turkey, continue 5 min, stir often. Add tomatoes, beans, corn, cocoa, chili powder, coriander, cumin and salt. Mix well. Bring to simmer, cook 10 min longer. Stir in pepper.
  2. Pass bowls of shredded lettuce, grated cheese and sour cream.
