ground turkey
chopped onion
4 clove
garlic, finely chopped
salt and pepper
1 Tbsp
chile powder
1 Tbsp
unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
ground cinnamon
1 tsp
dried oregano, lightly crushed
3 Tbsp
tomato paste
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 c
chicken stock
1 c
tomato sauce
1 can(s)
(14 oz) red kidney beans, drained
1 c
broken spaghetti pieces, cooked


finely chopped red or white onions
shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
lightly crushed tortilla chips

How to Make Cincinnati Sloppy Sliders


  • 1Cook noodles.
  • 2Heat the Olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the turkey and cook to brown it.
  • 3Add the onion and garlic; season with salt and pepper. Cook until the onion softens, a few minutes, then add the chile powder, cocoa powder, paprika, allspice, cinnamon, and oregano. Stir to release the flavors of the spices, then work in the tomato paste, brown sugar and Worcestershire, stirring for at least a minute or more.
  • 4Add the stock and tomato sauce and simmer for a few minutes to thicken. Add the beans and spaghetti pieces, if desired. Serve on the rolls with the toppings of your choice.
