My husband loves this casserole! It is great with or with out the spinach. I actually created this lighter version from other recipes for this casserole. This casserole can be doubled.....;)

prep time 20 Min
cook time 15 Min
method ---
yield 2-4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey sausage
  • 1 package neufchâtel cheese
  • 1 cup frozen spinach
  • 4 slices low fat american cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make cheesy turkey casserole

  • Step 1
Brown turkey sausage in sauce pan or skillet.
  • Step 2
Once sausage is thoroughly cooked turn burner to warm & add the cream cheese. Stir until cheese is completely melted. Remove from heat.
  • Step 3
Squeeze water from spinach & add spinach. At this point u r mixing not cooking.
  • Step 4
Pour into an 8x8" baking pan that has been coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese & then top with the cheese slices.
