We were excited to try this healthier meatloaf using ground turkey instead of beef. It was moist and flavorful, with gooey cheese for a touch of decadence. Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups onion, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 pounds ground turkey
- 1 1/2 cups brown rice, cooked
- 2 large eggs
- 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 16 ounces shredded cheese, your preference
How To Make best turkey meatloaf ever

Step 1Melt butter in a skillet. Cook onion and garlic in melted butter for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool.

Step 2While the onion mixture sits, combine turkey, rice, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

Step 3Add in the onion mixture and most of the cheese (reserve some for topping).

Step 4Place meatloaf into your pan. Shape it into an oblong form with your hands. Then working lengthwise, form a well in the top with your hand.

Step 5Top with remaining cheese and cover with foil.

Step 6Bake in a 350-degree oven until done (about 1 hr 30 mins depending on your oven).

Step 7If you prefer your cheese slightly brown, like we do, remove the foil for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
