This is how Mom made tacos for a dinner party she threw!

Ingredients

  • 48 - taco shells, heated
  • 6 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
  • 3 large onions, diced
  • 13 1/2 ounces ripe olives, chopped
  • 10 medium tomatoes
  • 1 large head lettuce, shredded
  • 2 pounds shredded cheddar cheese, sharp
  • 2 large cans tomato sauce
  • 1/3 bottle aquila and tomealitto sauce
  • - oregano
  • - cayenne pepper
  • - sugar
  • - garlic
  • 2 medium onions, chopped

How To Make tacos, mom's

  • Step 1
    Make sauce from tomato sauce, Aquila sauce, garlic, sautéed chopped onions, oregano, cayenne and sugar to taste. Simmer 1-2 hours until thickened. Brown hamburger with onions, onion salt, garlic salt, Lawry's season salt, pepper and accent. Serve on taco shells with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, shredded cheese and sour cream.
