This is my sweeties favorite recipe. He says it's the best he ever ate. I'd call it spicy not hot. You can hotten it up by adding more of the seasonings.

Ingredients For taco meat

  • 4 Tbsp
    veggie or olive oil (i use veggie)
  • 4 md
    onions, chopped
  • 9 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 4 lb
    ground beef
  • 5 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 tsp
    onion salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • ground pepper, to taste
  • 4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 can
    ro-tel tomatoes
  • 2 c
    beef broth

How To Make taco meat

    Heat oil in large pan. Sauté onion and garlic, about 8 minutes. Add beef, cook until no longer pink. Drain. Return meat to the pan.

    Add all seasonings and the flour. Stir until well blended. Add Ro-tel and beef stock. Stir and cook until liquid cooks down, about12 minutes.

    Taste and adjust seasonings, adding salt if desired. Serve with tortillas, chopped tomatoes, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and salsa.
