How To Make steak & onions
-
Step 1Trim excess fat from meat. Cut meat into THIN strips.
-
Step 2Combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika and mustard in a large zipper bag or large bowl, mix well. Add steak strips to flour mixture and shake to coat steak.
-
Step 3Melt 1/3 of the butter in large heavy skillet. Add garlic, saute until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
-
Step 4Melt 1/3 more butter. Saute onions until tender but not brown, 6-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
-
Step 5Heat remaining butter, saute steak strips until browned. Add bouillon, garlic and onions.
-
Step 6Stir to dissolve browned bits in skillet. Simmer, uncovered, 15-20 minutes, until meat is tender and mixture is thickened, stirring occasionally.
-
Step 7Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Heat until just warm.
-
Step 8Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles. Enjoy!
