Ingredients

  • 1 12/ pounds flank steak
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup sugar (or less to taste)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon bottled ground fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make grilled asian ginger steak

  • Step 1
    In a gallon bag, add the flank steak and pour 1/4 cup soy sauce over the steak. Seal the bag and move the marinade around to thoroughly cover the steak.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Grill steak on a hot grill for approximately 5 minutes per side. Baste with sauce mixture.
  • Step 4
    Slice steak diagonally across grain and drizzle remaining sauce over the steak slices.
