Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons chopped basil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons tarragon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tuna steaks (about 4 oz each)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • micro greens

How To Make tuna with herbed aioli

  • Step 1
    Mix the olive oil, red wine vinegar, basil, thyme, tarragon and garlic together. Remove two tablespoons of the mixture and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Place in the olive oil mixture and let marinate 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Step 3
    Place the mayo in a bowl and add the two tablespoons of reserved marinade. Mix well to make the aioli.
  • Step 4
    Remove the tuna from the marinade and place in a hot pan over med high heat. Sear about 5 minutes each side. (More or less depending on how you like them cooked.) Serve with aioli and micro greens.
