surf and turf white cheddar grits
This is my own spin on traditional shrimp and grits - it was a HUGE hit at my house!

Ingredients
- 1 cup 5 minute grits
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 stick butter, salted
- 1 cup white cheddar, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning
- 3 tablespoons seasoned salt
- 2 tablespoons coarsely ground pepper
- 1/2 pound sirloin steak, cooked to your liking and sliced thin
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined, also cooked to your liking
- 2 sprigs green onions, chopped
How To Make surf and turf white cheddar grits

Step 1Bring the water and stock to a boil in a medium sized sauce pan; add grits.

Step 2Reduce heat to medium-low, stir and add 1/2 stick butter through cayenne pepper.

Step 3Whisk together to fully incpororate ingredients and cover. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until grits are done and cheeses have melted. Remove from heat and keep covered.

Step 4Make sure to taste and adjust salt and pepper according to your taste.

Step 5Serve by topping grits with shrimp and steak; garnish with scallions.
