The absolute best when served with a nice cheese sauce!

  • 1/4 c
    minced onion
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1
    beaten egg
  • 1 can(s)
    salmon (drained, skin and bones removed)
  • 1 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp

How to Make Super Salmon Cakes


  1. Combine the first five ingredients.
    Stir in the egg, flaked salmon, and 4 tablespoons of bread crumbs.
    Refrigerate for 45 minutes.
  2. Divide mixture into 8 balls.
    Roll balls in the remaining bread crumbs.
    Flatten balls into 1/2 inch thick patties.
  3. Fry in melted butter for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
  4. These are awesome served with a cheese sauce.
    That's how we enjoy them!
