Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh mussels
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon calabrian chilies chopped add more if you want it really spicy
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon butter
- chopped fresh oregano for serving
How To Make spicy mussels in a tomato broth

Step 1Scrub the mussels and pull off any beards. Over medium high heat add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the chilies and cook 1 minute.

Step 2Add the mussels and white wine and cook for 3 minutes. Add the tomato puree and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Step 3Stir in the butter. Discard any mussles that didn't open. Serve placing the mussels in a bowl and drizzle the broth over top and garnish with oregano
