Ingredients
- 2 pounds clams in shells
- salt and pepper
- 10 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 medium shallot chopped
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
How To Make spaghetti vongole

Step 1Scrub the clams and discard any that are not closed. Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain

Step 2While the spaghetti is cooking. Add the olive oil to a large pan with a lid. Add the garlic, and shallots. Throw in the clams and add the white wine. Place lid on the pan and shake the pan and let steam for about 4 or 5 minutes.

Step 3Strain the clams over a a bowl and discard any that has not opened. Pour the clam juice over the drained spaghetti. Top with clams. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper
