Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 2 scallion, chopped white and green parts separated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

How To Make soy and ketchup shrimp

  • Step 1
    Place 1/2 the oil in a large skillet. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes on one side. Then flip and cook for 2 minutes on the other side. Remove to a plate and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Add the remaining oil. Add the ginger, garlic, and white parts of the scallions. Cook 10 seconds then add the wine, ketchup, and soy sauce.
  • Step 3
    Add the shrimp back into the sauce and cook for 1 minute. Add the green parts of the scallion and serve.
