Ingredients
- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti noodles, uncooked
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 ounces shrimp, medium size, peeled & deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to your liking)
- 1 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 can 14 oz. can stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
- 1 tablespoon capers, drained
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
How To Make shrimp with spicy puttanesca sauce

Step 1Cook pasta according to pkg. instructions - drain and set aside.

Step 2Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, garlic and red pepper flakes -- saute 3-4 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Remove shrimp mixture to a bowl and set aside.

Step 3Add onion to skillet and cook approx. 5 minutes; stirring occasionally. Add undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, olives and capers. Simmer mixture for approx. 5 min.

Step 4Add shrimp mixture to the skillet and simmer 1 minute. Stir in parsley and serve over pasta.
