Ingredients
- 1 pound head on shrimp
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic chili sauce
- 1 can coconut cream (15 oz)
- scallions, green parts only, for garnish
- sticky rice, for serving
How To Make shrimp in creamy coconut milk

Step 1Clean the shrimp, deveining it and trimming the tendrils, leaving the head on. Set aside. Heat the oil in a wok. Add the ginger and garlic and saute 2 minutes. Add the fish sauce and cook 1 minute. Stir in the garlic chili sauce.

Step 2Add the coconut cream and bring to a simmer. Let simmer about 10 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook about 5 minutes, stirring constantly to get the shrimp pink on all sides.

Step 3Mound a cup of sticky rice in the middle of a dish. Place the shrimp around the rice and pour some sauce around the bowl. Garnish with scallions.
