Ingredients For shrimp curry

  • 2 pkg
    7 or 8 ounce packages frozen shelled shrimp
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    and 1/2 cup finely chopped peeled tart apple
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    curry powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    milk
  • hot cooked rice

How To Make shrimp curry

  • 1
    Cook shrimp in boiling water according to package directions. Drain
  • 2
    Melt butter ; add apples and cook for 5 minutes
  • 3
    Combine the flour, curry and salt; stir into apples.
  • 4
    Add milk slowly; cook and stir until sauce thickens.

    Add shrimp and continue cooking until hot through, stirring occasionally.

    Dash curry with paprika optional
  • 7
    Serve with fluffy rice
