Ingredients
- 4 6 oz tuna steaks
- 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- black pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup sliced scallions
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons ginger grated
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 8 ounces shiitake mushrooms stemmed and sliced
- 6 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- fresh cilantro for garnish
How To Make seared tuna with ginger shiitake cream sauce

Step 1Add butter, scallions, ginger, garlic and cilantro to a saucepan and cook 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and cook 3 more minutes. Add the soy sauce and cook 1 minute

Step 2Add the heavy cream and cook 7 minutes to reduce a bit. Stir in the lime juice. Keep warm

Step 3Add the oil to a olive oil to a skillet. Season the tuna with black pepper. Once the oil is smoking add the tuna and sear on both sides aboutr 3 minutes each.

Step 4Let rest while plating the sauce. Slice the tuna and lay across the sauce. Garnish with the cilantro
