Ingredients
- THAI CUCUMBER RELISH
- 1/2 large cucumber
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons each rice vinegar and water
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped carrot
- 1 tablespoon each fish sauce and sugar
- TUNA STEAKS
- 2 tuna steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt
How To Make seared tuna steak with thai cucumber relish

Step 1Peel the cucumber and slice in half and scoop out the seeds and discard. Dice into small cubes. Add the salt and let sit 30 minutes. Rinse the cucumber and drain well. Add the remaining ingredients and let sit another 30 minutes.

Step 2Heat a cast iron pan with the olive oil until hot. Season the tuna steak with salt. Sear 4 minutes each side and 1 minute on the edges.

Step 3Cut into slices and serve with the relish over top
