Ingredients
- LEMON CHIVE SAUCE
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 slices ginger
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons chives chopped
- SCALLOPS
- 8 large scallops patted dry
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
How To Make seared scallops with lemon chive sauce

Step 1To make the sauce. Add the lemon juice, wine, ginger and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and simmer 4 minutes. Remove and discard the ginger Mix the cornstarch and water together. Bring the sauce back to a boil and whisk in the cornstarch mixture until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the chives. Set aside.

Step 2Pat the scallops dry and season with salt and pepper. Add the butter to a skillet and once melted and hot. Add the scall.ps and sear for 4 minutes per side

Step 3Serve with the sauce.
