Ingredients For seared scallops with garlic butter

  • 1 lb
    sea scallops
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 tsp
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped cilantro or parsley

How To Make seared scallops with garlic butter

  • 1
    Pat the scallops dry and season salt and pepper. Add oil to a hot skillet cast iron is best. Sear the scallops for about 2 minutes each side. Remove from pan and set aside
  • 2
    Add the butter to the pan. Stir in the garlic and cook 30 seconds. Return the scallops to the pan. Add the lemon juice and cilantro. Serve immediately
