Ingredients
- 4 ahi tuna steaks
- salt and pepper
- 1 pinch italian dressing dressing mix
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ASIAN SAUTEED ONIONS
- 4 large white onions
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 3 tablespoons dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
How To Make seared ahi tuna with asian sauteed onions

Step 1Season the tuna with salt and pepper. Rub the Italian seasoning packet on the tuna. Set aside while making the onions.

Step 2Place the oil in a large skillet. Add the onions and saute for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and saute until the onions are golden about 7 more minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients and cook another couple of minutes.

Step 3Set aside and keep warm. Add the oil to a skillet and sear the tuna steaks for 4 minutes each side.

Step 4Plate the onions and serve the tuna on top.
