Delicious scallops with an Indian flair. If you can't find Balti seasoning it is available on Amazon or other online spice places.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SAUCE
  • 1/4 cup seafood or chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon each dijon mustard and balti seasoning
  • SCALLOPS
  • 2 pounds sea scallops
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • fresh cilantro for garnish

How To Make scallops with indian balti sauce

  • Step 1
    For the sauce Place all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until thickened and reduced a bit. Set aside and keep warm.
  • Step 2
    For the scallops Season the scallops with salt and pepper. Add oil to a pan and get it hot. Sear the scallops on each side until browned about 2 minutes. Add the butter to the pan and baste the scallops another two minutes.
  • Step 3
    To plate. Add sauce to a plate and top with the scallops. Garnish with cilantro and serve immediately.
