Ingredients
- 8 ounces pouch salmon
- 1/2 small onion, grated (1/4 cup)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
- - black pepper, to taste
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs, divided
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make salmon patties
-
Step 1Put salmon and any liquid from pouch into a medium-size bowl. Flake the salmon with a fork, removing any skin and bones. Mix in grated onion, parsley, and pepper.
-
Step 2Add the beaten egg and blend well. Add enough bread crumbs, about 1/4 cup, to make the mixture thick enough to shape into about 6 small patties. Roll the patties in the remaining bread crumbs to coat thoroughly.
-
Step 3In a large heavy skillet over low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. When the butter is hot, add the salmon patties. Fry patties slowly on one side until browned. Add the remaining butter, turn the patties, and fry them until browned on the other side.
