Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds fresh shrimp, large (peeled with tails intact)
- 6 tablespoons rum (gold preferred)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
How To Make rum-glazed shrimp

Step 1Peel shrimp, leaving tails intact. Place shrimp in a bowl with 4 tbsp. rum along with lemon or lime juice, oil, garlic, salt, pepper; toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and marinate in the fridge for up to 1 hour.

Step 2Combine brown sugar, vinegar, and remaining 2 tbsp. rum. Thread shrimp onto skewers and lightly brush with brown sugar glaze.

Step 3Grill over medium hot fire, brushing with additional glaze until shrimp are opaque, about 3 minutes on each side or until done.
