Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine (not butter)
  • 3 tablespoons each olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon louisiana hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped scallions
  • 1 pound head on shrimp deveined not peeled
  • crusty french bread for dipping

How To Make nola style bbq shrimp

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a skillet except shrimp and bread. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Lay the shrimp in the sauce side by side not on top of each other. If you have to work in batches do that.
  • Step 2
    Cook the shrimp on both sides for about 4 minutes each side.
  • Step 3
    Serve the shrimp with the sauce and french bread to mop up all that delicious sauce
