I love New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. So many tasty ways to make a delicious sauce. Buttery rich and delish

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup each worcestershire sauce, beer, and dry white wine
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons each onion powder,black pepper, sweet paprika dried thyme, sugar and cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon each dried oregano and basil
  • 2 pounds shrimp tail and shell on
  • 3 sticks butter cut into chunks
  • 2 - green onions diced for garnish

How To Make new orleans style bbq shrimp

  • Step 1
    Mix the Worcestershire sauce, white wine, beer. lemon juice, garlic, onion powder, black pepper, sweet paprika, thyme, sugar, salt, cajun seasoning, oregano and basil together.
  • Step 2
    Place in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and add the shrimp and cook until pink. Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and set aside to cool a bit so they can be peeled.
  • Step 3
    Whisk the butter one pat at a time into the sauce to create a smooth buttery textured sauce. Serve the sauce with the shrimp and garnish with green onions. Be sure to have some crusty bread to soak up all that good sauce.
