Ingredients

  • 2 pounds mussels
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 scallions minced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemongrass paste
  • 1 teaspoon calbrian chilies
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup cilantro chopped

How To Make mussels with cilantro, chili & lemongrass

  • Step 1
    Clean the mussels and remove the beards. Discard any that are open.
  • Step 2
    Add the oil to a skillet with a lid. Add the scallions, garlic, lemongrass and chilies. Cook 1 minute. Add the wine and bring to a boil let reduce by half.
  • Step 3
    Add the mussels and place a lid on the pan and let the mussels steam about 4 minutes. Shake the pan a little.
  • Step 4
    Remove the mussels to serving dishes and stir the cilantro into the broth. Pour the broth over the mussels and serve.
