This makes one of the best linguine with red clam sauce dishes I've ever had and really simple to make! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cans (6 1/2 oz.) chopped clams, undrained
  • 2 cans (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried, whole basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried, whole oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • - dash of red pepper
  • 1 box (16 oz.) linguine, cooked
  • - grated parmesan cheese

How To Make linguine with red clam sauce

  • Step 1
    Coat a skillet with olive oil; heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add garlic and saute 2 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Drain clams, reserving juice from 2 cans. Add reserved juice to garlic; set clams aside.
  • Step 3
    Add tomato sauce, onion, and 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, and seasonings to skillet. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir in clams and cook until clam sauce is thoroughly heated.
  • Step 4
    Ladle clam sauce over linguine. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Yield 4 servings.
