Ingredients
- FOR THE MARINADE
- 1/4 cup whole milk plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoons each ground cumin, smoked paprika, garam masala, salt and lime juice
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 pounds shrimp peeled and deveined
- SAUCE
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 2 small shallots chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
- basamati rice for serving
How To Make instant pot butter shrimp

Step 1In a bowl mix the yogurt, cumin, paprika, garam masal, lime juice, salt, ginger and garlic. Add the shrimp and marinate for 1 hour.

Step 2In the instant pot pick saute and add 3 tbsp of butter. Add the shallots, garlic and ginger and saute 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar. cook one more minute.

Step 3Add the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream. Bring to a boil then add lid and pressure cook 8 minutes. Quick release

Step 4Remove the lid and pick saute low and saute for 7 minutes until thickened. add the shrimp with the marinade, lime zest and remaining butter. Cook 5 more minutes.

Step 5Serve over rice.
