Ingredients

  • 4 sushi grade ahi tuna steaks
  • MARINADE
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • SAUCE
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 cup red onion chopped
  • 1 large jalapeno pepper seeded and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons honey

How To Make grilled tuna steak with pineapple sauce

  • Step 1
    Mix 1 cup of orange juice the soy sauce and paprika together. Add the tuna steaks to the marinade and let marinate 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add the other 1 cup of orange juice to saucepan and add the pineapple, red onion, jalapeno, and honey. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    During the last 10 minutes that the sauce is cooking remove the tuna from the marinade and place on a hot grille. Grille 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Serve with the sauce over top
