gochu jang baby clams over rice

This recipe was a "hey, let's try this" recipe and really surprised us with how good it was. You can adjust the heat by using more or less Gochu Jang. I served it with a side of my Honeyed Carrots and it was the perfect contrast. Also beer helps tame the flame. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 can baby clams
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup white wine (not too sweet)
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons gochu jang paste
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked rice

How To Make gochu jang baby clams over rice

  • Step 1
    Heat oil in skillet until hot.
  • Step 2
    Saute garlic.
  • Step 3
    Add clams and juice. Just dump the can.
  • Step 4
    Add wine, lime juice, honey, Gochu Jang paste, and sesame seeds. You will need to stir until the Gochu Jang has "melted".
  • Step 5
    Allow to reduce until quite thick.
  • Step 6
    Serve over rice.
