This recipe was a "hey, let's try this" recipe and really surprised us with how good it was. You can adjust the heat by using more or less Gochu Jang. I served it with a side of my Honeyed Carrots and it was the perfect contrast. Also beer helps tame the flame. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    baby clams
  • 4 clove
    garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    white wine (not too sweet)
  • 1/4 c
    lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 2 Tbsp
    gochu jang paste
  • 1/4 c
    sesame seeds
  • 2 c
    cooked rice

How to Make Gochu Jang Baby Clams Over Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in skillet until hot.
  2. Saute garlic.
  3. Add clams and juice. Just dump the can.
  4. Add wine, lime juice, honey, Gochu Jang paste, and sesame seeds. You will need to stir until the Gochu Jang has "melted".
  5. Allow to reduce until quite thick.
  6. Serve over rice.
