Ingredients

  • SAUCE
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp raw peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces rice noodles
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 4 scallions chopped green and white parts separated
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts chopped
  • thai basil and limes for serving

How To Make garlic butter shrimp pad thai

  • Step 1
    Mix the ingredients for the sauce together and set aside. Place 1 tbsp of oil in skillet and add the eggs cook until set on the bottom and then fold in half. Transfer to a cutting board
  • Step 2
    Add the 2 tbsp oil. Cook the shrimp until they start turning pink. Add the butter and garlic and cook until shrimp is done. Stir in the sauce.
  • Step 3
    Cook the noodle according to package directions. Slice the eggs into strips. Stir the noodles into the shrimp mixture than add the egg strips and white parts of green onions.
  • Step 4
    Serve garnished with bean sprouts, dark green parts of the scallion, basil and nuts. Squeeze a wedge of lime just before eating.
