Ingredients For gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp)

  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 4-6 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 lb
    shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1/4 c
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • pinch
    fresh flat leaf chopped parsley

How To Make gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp)

    In a wide, shallow saute pan over high heat, warm the olive oil and the butter. Add the shrimp and garlic and saute quickly for about 2-3 minutes. Add the lemon juice, paprika, red pepper flakes, and salt to taste. Adjust seasonings to your liking. Transfer to a warmed serving dish, sprinkle with the parsley, garnish with lemon wedges and serve at once.
