Ingredients
- CREAMED FISH:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 slice onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 - carrot, sliced
- 1/2 - bay leaf
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups flaked fish
- 1 tablespoon butter
- POTATO PIE:
- - mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- - melted butter
How To Make fish and potato pie

Step 1Make creamed fish: Scald milk with onion, carrot and bay leaf; 15 minutes. Strain.

Step 2Melt butter, add flour and blend well. Add milk and stir until smooth; add seasonings and fish.

Step 3Prepare pie pan: Line a greased deep dish with well seasoned mashed potatoes to a thickness of 1 inch.

Step 4On top of the potato layer add creamed fish to within an inch of the top. Top with another layer of mashed potatoes and top with bread crumbs and drizzle with melted butter. Bake in a hot oven until brown.
