Ingredients

  • 4 - salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic whole
  • - juice of 1 lemon
  • - cilantro for garnish

How To Make easy cajun seared salmon

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 400 degrees. Season the skinless side of the salmon with the Cajun seasoning and salt.
  • Step 2
    Melt the butter with the olive oil in a large cast iron skillet or non stick skillet. Add the whole garlic cloves. Let the garlic cook about 2 minutes. Add the salmon skin side down and sear until the skin is crispy.
  • Step 3
    Flip the salmon over and add the lemon juice. Place skillet in oven and let bake about 5 minutes depending on how thick your fillets are. Serve garnished with cilantro.
