I've made salmon a ton of different ways. But I don't think that I've ever seen a recipe for making it in a crock pot before......until now. Sounds interesting and posting this for safe-keeping to give it a try sometime soon.

My notes say that this is by Sandra Souther of Gainesville, GA.

Ingredients

4 5-oz
salmon steaks
1 c
water
1/2 c
dry white wine
1 tsp
salt
2
bay leaves
2
peppercorns
1 sprig(s)
fresh rosemary
fresh oregano or thyme
1 slice
onion
1 sprig(s)
fresh parsley

How to Make Crockpot Poached Salmon Steaks

Step-by-Step

  • 1Lightly grease the bottom of the slow cooker, then
    place the salmon steaks (or fillets) in the bottom.
  • 2Put the remaining ingredients in a pan and heat
    until boiling. Pour over the salmon, put the lid on
    the slow cooker and cook at Low for approximately
    3 hours.
  • 3Can serve hot or cold with a salad.
