How To Make butter basted crab legs with garlic and ginger
-
Step 1While the crab legs are frozen take a heavy sharp knife and hack the legs to chip away some of the shell to expose some of the meat. About a slice every 2 inches but not all the way through. Let them thaw in the fridge overnight. In the morning remove them from the bowl and reserve 1/2 cup of the liquid in the bowl. Discard the rest.
-
Step 2Mix the reserved liquid with the lemon juice and set aside in the fridge. Place the crab back into bowl
-
Step 3Mix the olive oil, garlic, ginger, paprika and salt together. Brush over the crab legs and place back in the fridge and let marinate until dinner.
-
Step 4Melt butter in a large skillet or a wok works good. Add the lemon mixture then throw in the crab. Cook over medium high heat basting with the butter. Cook basting for about 5 minutes. Add the parsley and basted a couple more minutes. Dump into a bowl and get crackin. add salt if needed. Dip the crab meat in the butter mixture and enjoy.
