bang bang shrimp pasta
*You can substitute the shrimp with chicken, if desired. When it is just my husband and myself eating, I cut the shrimp ingredients in half, but use the full recipe of sauce because we like it a little more saucy than the original recipe makes it.

Ingredients
- 1 pound uncooked spaghetti (or pasta of your choice)
- 1 1/2 pounds raw medium shrimp, peeled and deveined*
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
- black pepper, to taste
- FOR THE SAUCE
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (no substitutions)
- 1/2 cup thai sweet chili sauce (in the asian aisle)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, or to taste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
How To Make bang bang shrimp pasta

Step 1Mix all of the sauce ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.

Step 2Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.

Step 3Place uncooked shrimp (or chicken) in a medium bowl; add the paprika, 3 cloves of garlic and pepper.

Step 4In a large skillet over medium heat, add the coated shrimp (or chicken). Cook, stirring constantly, until shrimp is opaque or chicken, if using, is no longer pink, about 10 minutes.

Step 5Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 6In a large serving bowl, combine the pasta, shrimp/chicken, and sauce mixture. Toss well to coat.
