Ingredients

  • SUSHI RICE
  • 2 cups sweet sticky sushi rice
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • TUNA MARINADE
  • 2 medium tuna steaks
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 nori sheet cut into little pieces
  • 1 tablespoon black and white sesame seeds
  • FOR THE DISH
  • 2 avocado's diced
  • 1/2 cucumber diced
  • 1/2 cup wonton crisps
  • cilantro for garnsh

How To Make ahi tuna sushi stack

  • Step 1
    The night before place the sushi rice in a bowl with 2 cups water. Let sit overnight. Drain rice and place in rice steamer. Steam according to package directions. Mix in the vinegar, sugar and salt. Set in fridge to cool.
  • Step 2
    Cut the Tuna into small pieces. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, nori and sesame seeds together. Stir in the tuna and let marinate while the rice is cooling
  • Step 3
    In a 1 cup measuring cup add a bit of tuna, then layer the avocado and cucumber. Top with rice and push with the back of a spoon to flatten. Place a serving dish and flip the measuring cup over and lift it off the stack.
  • Step 4
    Top with wonton crisps and cilantro.
