Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 teaspoon each sesame oil and sambal oelek
  • 1 pound sushi grade ahi tuna cut into small dice
  • 3 scallions chopped
  • 3 tablespoons toasted macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped

How To Make ahi poke

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl combine the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, sambal and Mirin
  • Step 2
    Place the tunal in a bowl and pour the soy mixture over top. Set in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    remove from fridge and stir in the nuts and garnish with cilantro
