TIP: pouring half and half over the cheese and eggs will not make the dough watery. The pie bakes just fine. After you add the spices, just lightly stir (a few sconds) the cream, cheese and eggs then cook.

Ingredients For quiche

  • 1/2 md
    yellow onion, diced
  • 2 clove
    garlic, finely chopped
  • 6 slice
    bacon
  • One lg
    italian sausage, mild
  • 7 ozs
    hamburger
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    half and half
  • 4
    extra large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp ea
    salt and pepper
  • 1/8 tsp
    nutmeg

How To Make quiche

    I used a 9” metal pie pan. Lay dough over pan and mold to fit pan. Bake 10 min at 350 deg. then take out of oven and set aside.

    Fry onion and garc. Drain and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

    Fry bacon, hamburger and sausage. Drain well and place on paper towel to absorb excess oil. Crumble into large crumbled pieces.

    Take pie crust pan and put in the onion and garlic. Top with crumbled bacon, hamburger and sausage.

    Cover the meat with cheddar cheese and eggs that have been partially beaten. Pour half and half over cheese. Put salt, pepper and nutmeg on last, sprinkled evenly over pie. Mix top portion of eggs and half and half with a spoon then bake. Cool 15 minutes before serving.
