Ingredients

  • 6 - individual puff pastry shells
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 - small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, quartered
  • 1 pound cooked veal, bite-sized
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon worchestershire
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

How To Make pasteli - meat pie

  • Step 1
    Bake individual pie shells.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter and saute onion and garlic.
  • Step 3
    Add wine, mushrooms, and meat. Cover, cook 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Remove cover and increase heat to reduce liquid by half.
  • Step 5
    Add half and half, sour cream, and spices.
  • Step 6
    Place filling in individual pie shells and serve.
