  • 6
    individual puff pastry shells
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 8 oz
    mushrooms, quartered
  • 1 lb
    cooked veal, bite-sized
  • 1/4 c
    white wine
  • 1/2 c
    half and half
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    worchestershire
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 pinch
    nutmeg
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper

How to Make Pasteli - meat pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Bake individual pie shells.
  2. Melt butter and saute onion and garlic.
  3. Add wine, mushrooms, and meat. Cover, cook 5 minutes.
  4. Remove cover and increase heat to reduce liquid by half.
  5. Add half and half, sour cream, and spices.
  6. Place filling in individual pie shells and serve.
