Easy hamburger pie with a twist. The cheese coated flaky crust is light.

  • 1 1/4 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/3 c
  • 1/4 c
    green pepper, chopped
  • 8 oz
    green beans, drained
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp
  • 8 oz
    refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 large
  • 8 oz
    cheddar cheese, shredded or monterey jack
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce

How to Make Hearty Beef & Cheese Crescent Pie


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In large fry pan brown ground beef, onion and green pepper. Drain.
  3. Put ground beef mixture back in pan and stir in tomato sauce, green beans, cumin, garlic salt and salt.
    Simmer while preparing crust.
  4. Separate rolls into 8 triangles.
    Place in 9 inch pie dish.
    Press over bottom and sides to form a crust.
  5. Combine 1 egg with 1 cup of cheese and spread over crust. ( Sides and bottom).
  6. Spoon hot meat mixture into crust.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese and paprika.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
    For easier serving let stand for 5 minutes.
