multigrain bread (we tested w/light wheat and oat bread)
3 Tbsp
almond butter (sunflower, flax, cashew or other seed/nut butter can be subbed)
2 slice
bacon, crisply cooked and drained (or your favorite vegetarian bacon)
1 Tbsp
honey (we also tested the second sandwich switching berry jam for honey)
ground cinnamon
1 small
banana, peeled and sliced

How to Make The Healthy Elvis is in the House


  • 1ARRANGE bread in even layer on clean work surface.
  • 2STIR together almond butter or similar seed or nut butter, bacon, honey, and cinnamon in small bowl. Spread on bread, dividing evenly. Divide banana between 2 slices of the bread in even layer. Place other slice of bread on top.
  • 3HEAT large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat. Add sandwiches and grill until golden and heated through, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
